50 Years of Advancing Applications and Partnering for Success
April 13, 2026Tomorrow, April 15, Synergex celebrates its 50th year in business. It’s also my last day after 40-plus years as an employee, and I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation to our customers for your business and support over the years.
I joined what was then DISC as a 22-year-old sales rep who knew very little about software development, and I’ll leave tomorrow as the former President and CEO. It’s been quite a ride, and all of you have been a part of that story. I’ll always appreciate our conversations, the visits to your offices, your candid feedback, and the many shared moments along the way—from trips down the river to late-night discussions at the bar during our conferences.
What made this career so rewarding was genuinely enjoying the work. The relationships we formed, along with learning about the cornucopia of industries Synergex serves and the applications you all have built and sustained over the years, were the cornerstone of that. I’ve often marveled at the fact that I got paid to do this.
While I’ll surely miss this work, I look forward to seeing Synergex and our customers continue to thrive. Neit Foley, my successor, has taken the torch, and I’ve worked closely with him over the past seven months to ensure a smooth transition. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to carry this forward. Years ago, I read Jim Collins’ book Good to Great, and one thing that stuck with me was his finding that the most enduring companies build a culture and institutional strength that outlasts any single leader. I’m confident we’ve done that here, and that Neit and the rest of our senior leadership team will make sure your Synergy-based applications continue to grow and flourish for the next 50 years and beyond.
I’ll continue to be one of Synergex’s biggest fans, and the memories I’ve made here will stay with me always.
With sincere gratitude,
Bill Mooney
