September 2, 2026Our latest Synergy DBL Integration for Visual Studio (SDI) version, 2026.08.1692, is now available for download in the Synergex Resource Center. This version includes an enhanced Synergy .NET compiler, a fix for multiple mainline projects to prevent rebuilding all mainline programs, and increased stability in unit tests.
Synergy .NET Compiler
We added the following features to keep pace with the latest developments in .NET.
- Full language support for declaring and using extension members
- Support for implicit span conversions
- Support for null conditional assignment
- Support for declaring params collections
- Ability to consume inline arrays
Bug Fixes
The release resolves the following high-impact areas.
SDI
- Updating the startup object in Multiple Mainline projects will save to the .synproj.user file instead of .synproj file to prevent rebuilds of all mainline programs.
- .INCLUDE files that contain an external function no longer cause symbols to resolve incorrectly.
Debugger
- Synergy Traditional debugger AssemblyInitialize and AssemblyCleanup behave significantly more consistent, adding stability to unit tests.
