Microsoft has recently flagged Windows 10 as a “recommended” update, meaning that while it is still a free upgrade (prior to July 29), it will be automatically downloaded and installed on non-enterprise versions of Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs that are set to automatically install recommended patches. (After July 29, the automatic downloads will cease, and the upgrade will need to be purchased.) Since Synergy/DE 10.3.1b is the minimum Synergy version supported on Windows 10, Synergy/DE users need to have this version installed in order to use Synergy/DE on Windows 10. Otherwise, the system will be in an unsupported configuration and unexpected issues may occur. If you do not want to upgrade to Windows 10 at this time, there are workarounds to prevent the automatic upgrade. Here are some articles with more information:
