Synergex Community Efforts
Our Community Efforts
Synergex has long recognized that our employees and their families are a vital part of the communities in which we all live and work. The same dynamic spirit of dedication, innovation, and enthusiasm that makes us successful as a company also makes us valuable and responsible citizens. As groups and individuals, we are active in schools, churches, charities, clubs, and other organizations that contribute to a richer and more rewarding lifestyle for all.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's After School California
Synergex has joined with Arnold Schwarzenegger to promote safe, fun, and educational after-school programs to help our children stay in school and out of trouble. After voter-approved state funding failed to materialize during a budget crisis, Arnold turned to corporations such as Synergex to help this worthwhile project become a reality. After School California kicked off with a pre-release showing of Terminator III in San Francisco. For more information, please visit joinarnold.com.

Community Action Program (CAP)
As corporate citizens, Synergex and its employees are committed to participating in charitable, community, and educational programs by investing time, talent, and financial support.

Recently, we realized that we could expand the scope of our individual and company contributions with the support of an organized corporate sponsorship program. Employees from every department volunteered their time and creativity to develop a comprehensive plan that would offer a wide variety of participation levels and opportunities for all employees. The Synergex Community Action Program was formed out of a sense of community and corporate responsibility and because—as individuals and as a company—we share a strong belief in the obligations we owe our society.

The CAP offers Synergex employees three ways to participate: Corporate-wide Events, Corporate Grants, and the Employee Contribution Matching Fund. Each of these plans represents a different method in which Synergex employees can get involved and contribute to non-profit, charitable organizations.

Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Sacramento
Light The Night is a fundraising event that carries a sense of magic and purpose like no other. A parade of flickering red and white balloons will wind its way on a two- to three-mile walk around the State Capitol to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer. Funds raised will support the Society's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. Dedication banners will be displayed to give everyone an opportunity to leave a name or post a message in honor or memory of a family member or friend with cancer.

KVIE Channel 6, Public Television
KVIE’s vision is to open minds and change lives, giving people information they need to participate fully in the community we share and the world around us. KVIE uses technologies to connect our region’s diverse communities to one another – children to museums, families to public heath services, voters to government, adult learners to libraries and universities, and senior citizens to social services. Synergex's CEO is actively involved in the public television arena, currently serving as Vice Chair on KVIE's Board of Directors.

Discovery Museum
The Discovery Museum of Sacramento is a family-focused educational institution dedicated to enriching the lives of local residents and visitors to the Sacramento region by encouraging the exploration of history, science and space. Through development of innovative programs and special events that engage participants in lifelong learning, the Discovery Museum History Center promotes cultural awareness and appreciation of our regional heritage, and the Discovery Museum Science and Space Center promotes exploration and understanding of our world and the universe. Synergex's CEO currently serves as President of the Discovery Museum Board of Directors.
